Entry Level Maths is to help progress to GCSE Maths pass grade equivalent.
These courses will help you to demonstrate that you have sound grasp and understanding of the basics around mathematics and are able to apply this to solve every day, simple mathematical problems.
The qualifications will cover:
Level 1 and 2 Functional Skills in Maths are qualifications aimed at preparing learners for work, further study and general life. By completing these two courses, you will be able to fully demonstrate mathematical skills at the appropriate level.
You will be able to apply this knowledge and skills in a range of areas, including in the workplace, everyday life in the UK and if you would like to progress onto further studies.

If you’re looking to apply for a new job, improve your career prospects or progress to further education, but don’t have the necessary qualification in Mathematics, Functional Skills is suitable for you. If you’ve been out of education for a while, we would encourage you to begin with the Entry Level courses first.
Functional Skills are fundamental to the successful completion of various qualifications and frameworks you may wish to undertake in the future.
You should be 16 (or above) years of age. We encourage all who are interested to apply. No prerequisites or education is required. This course is free of charge to anyone over the age of 16.
The course is delivered in person at our Sheffield campus or online. Timetables are flexible, with evening and alternative days available.
The courses are six weeks in duration, and support through dedicated tutors is provided throughout your studies with us.
The courses run every four weeks, so you can start on a date that suits you and fits around your existing commitments.
