Our Level 3 Diploma in Business is accredited by awarded the for Training and Higher Education (ATHE).and regulated by Ofqual. It is well respected by employers across the sector. This comprehensive programme comprises 60 credits and is suitable for learners who wish to develop knowledge and skills in business management, and to progress towards an HND or university degree in business.

Overview

The ATHE Level 3 Diploma in Business is a 60-credit Ofqual-regulated qualification, recognised as equivalent to an A Level or an Access to Higher Education qualification. The programme is designed for learners seeking progression to undergraduate study in business or management who may not hold traditional entry qualifications.

This qualification is a core programme offered by ATHE and is available to approved and prospective ATHE centres.

Grading Structure

The qualification is assessed and awarded at the following grades:

  • Merit
  • Distinction

Age Requirement
Applicants must be aged 16 years or over at the time of enrolment.

Academic Requirements
Applicants are normally expected to hold one of the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C / Grade 4 or above

  • Relevant Level 2 qualifications, including Functional Skills in English and Mathematics

  • Equivalent international qualifications

English Language Requirements
Applicants whose prior education was not delivered in a majority English-speaking country must provide evidence of English language proficiency. Accepted qualifications include:

  • IELTS with an overall score of 5.0

  • Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Level B1

  • Cambridge B1 Preliminary with a minimum score of 140

  • Functional Skills English at Level 1

Applicants who do not meet the above requirements may be required to pass the ALC English Language Assessment.

Recognition of Prior Learning and Experience
Applicants who do not hold formal qualifications may be considered where relevant prior learning or work experience can be demonstrated. This will be assessed through a personal statement and an interview.

Admission Decisions
All applications are considered on an individual basis, and offers are made at the discretion of the College.

Learners who successfully complete this qualification may progress to the Level 4 Extended Diploma in Business and Management.

Flexible payment arrangements allow tuition fees to be paid in agreed instalments over a specified period, subject to the College’s terms and conditions. Payment plans are designed to reduce financial pressure while ensuring students remain focused on their studies.

Flexible payment plans are offered at the discretion of the College and are subject to approval prior to enrolment.
