Age Requirements

Entry Qualifications

For learners who have recently completed education or training, the expected entry profile normally includes one of the following:

  • A minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C / Grade 4 or above

  • Relevant Level 2 qualifications

  • Equivalent international qualifications

English Language Requirements

Applicants for whom English is not their first language are expected to demonstrate an appropriate level of English language proficiency. The recommended minimum standards for this qualification, or approved equivalents, include:

  • IELTS overall score of 5.5

  • Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Level B2

  • Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) with a minimum score of 162
